Sore knee. Work it or rest it?

I had similar a month or two ago, and quadriceps, hamstring, gastrocnemius, and ITB stretches 3x30 seconds 2 or 3 times a day took care of the pain. Warm up, maybe walk 5 minutes, and then stretch before continuing. Never stretch through pain, just a good pulling stretch. You can Google or...

Post your favorite 70s/80's one hit wonders here.

Sorry, wrong one. This one was great, and if you have never seen the foreign mobile phone commercial with it, it's definitely worth looking up https://youtu.be/OnJqFrVD3uE?si=0UUAioHExMqpO78R Sent from my SM-N986U1 using Early Retirement Forum mobile app

    Talking to 'regular folks'

This reminds me of my final months. My supervisor got promoted, so I got a new to me manager. I had known him for years, and he came in and said, "I'm not going to rock the boat." I scheduled patients 0700 to 1620 for the previous 10+ years. Two weeks later, he says I have to start seeing...

Dave Ramsey rips the 4% rule again today.

Not a Ramsey fan at all. I'll stick around the 4% rule. I do like the get out of debt, but when u talk for hours and hours, why can't you educate your listeners how to invest, rather than plug your ELPs? Yes that not really a question, as the answer is $$$ And then there was this. Really...

Had a roof and paint job from hail damage 10-12 years ago. If another storm hits, I'm filing a claim. We've dodged direct hits the last several years, but others nearby weren't so lucky. EVERYONE in our areas rates skyrocketed, so mise well file claim, because your rate are going up no...

    New catalytic converter cost??

My 2006 Nissan Pathfinder has needed all 4 replaced for over 1 yr. Was quoted $2200 last year, but now that all parts have to come from dealer to lessen thefts, the estimate is now $3800. Vehicle might be worth 4or 5 grand....

RV Pricing (crystal ball), RV in general discussion

In 2018 I was looking to upgrade our gas Itasca 35J to a DP Newmar Dutch Star 4369. A 2016 was 200-225k, 4 yrs later and all those extra miles they are 275-300k for a 2016! Folks can always ask whatever amount they want, but what are they actually getting? I did sell our Itasca last Sept as...

What is wrong with Ebay and Facebook Market Place?

I'm trying to purge items, and in the past had great success selling on Ebay and Facebook Market Place. I think they have changed their algorithms so if you don't pay to upgrade your listings, your items don't get any views. I get Facebook pushing upcharges as it's free, but Ebay charges...

Would you buy flood insurance for a home in a low risk area?

My dad lost hundreds of thousands when the city said his apartment building wasn't in a flood zone any more, then a few years later a 100 year storm flooded it about 2 felt deep throughout.
