    Total Knee Replacement Advice Needed

This thread has come at just the right time. I tore my left meniscus and PCL a year and a half ago. Had surgery to repair those and they cleaned out the arthritis as well. I've had steroid shots for the last year and a half. Now I'm looking at replacement. Thanks for all the information.

    Southern Food(s)

I got 27. I was born and raised in Northern California but moved to the "south" at age 21. All of my adult life has been spent eating all these things. There is definitely SWEET tea in the south. Iced tea is sweet unless you order unsweet tea (which I drink).

    Strategic Sourcing - - - K-cups

I also buy the 120 count Kirkland Signature Pacific Bold Coffee but wait until it is on sale ( force of habit). I'm not an extravagant shopper so this is my little vice.

    Travel clothing

I've found laundromats in different countries fun. My favorite was in the Lauterbrunnen Valley, Switzerland. It was a laundromat with coin computers for internet. Wash your clothes and surf the net :)

    Downsizing dilemma

I moved to a larger place on 4 acres in anticipation of having the kids (2) and grandkids (4) around quite a bit. That lasted until the grandkids started reaching their teen years and would rather be with their "friends". I'm now moving to a much smaller place with a community pool, tennis...

    Thoughts on Win10 and Microsoft

I gave up on Microsoft 2 years and bought a MacBook Pro. After having iPhones for years the transition wasn't too bad. I'll stick with Apple.

    Are Opening Jars an Issue?

I have a circular piece of thin rubber matting (advertising a local store) that works every time. Just put it on top of the jar and twist. I've had it for years and never found a jar it wouldn't open!

    Packing cubes

I fold and roll my clothes also, and then put them in gallon ziplock bags. The ziplock bags can be used for anything including dirty clothes.

AARP Medicare Supplement Plan - Details Anyone?

I am in Florida and have the Supplement Plan F which does not include meds. Plan F covers co-pays etc and since having it I've received no other bills. For Part D I have Silver Script which was one of the least expensive monthly payments and had decent med coverage. I previously had Part D with...

    Cat just diagnosed with diabetes

My cat is 14 1/2 years old and was diagnosed with diabetes 5 years ago. At first I gave her one shot of insulin a day but after she stabilized my vet had me try a dry diabetic cat food. Prescription Diet Glucose/Weight Management, m/d. This has worked well for her. She has some arthritis now and...

Advice for planning a road trip

I also always keep a Ran McNally Road Atlas in the car for a road trip. I usually bring a couple of rolls of quarters for the laundromat. My son and I were heading back to North Florida from North Dakota at the end of a summer (years ago) and stumbled on Car Henge in Nebraska. I love the path...

    Migraine Auras?

I had one once. Extreme headache, light flashes, the slightest noise hurt my head. I had to stay in a dark room until the doctor had me come to the hospital. After tests it was concluded that is was caused by a bursted blood vessel. My friend has migraines which are brought on by chocolate.
