    News of Khan

I enjoyed reading her posts as well. She was retired from Wright-Patterson AFB near Dayton, OH. I just retired as a contractor there as well. So, it was fun talking about her time there, before she moved to Florida.

    UPS Follow My Delivery

The USPS is not without issues, as well. I had a mail-order pharmacy package that bounced back-and-forth DAILY between 2 processing stations in Cincinnati for 5 days, before my inquiries were able to "break it loose" and have it delivered 50 miles up the road to me in Dayton!

    Vaccine Trials

I inquired and attended an initial interview for the Pfizer vaccine. When I initially called, they told me the same thing that quoted from the OP above. HOWEVER, when I got there, the nurse (who wasn't the person I initially talked to), said that the study was 26 months in length and that they...

Prospects of a Functional Cure for COVID-19

I'm following the progress of Dr. Jacob Glanville. He was featured on the Netflix series "Pandemic" for his work on a universal flu vaccine, before COVID-19 was on the scene. Then he switched most of his work to COVID, developing a therapeutic known as "monoclonal antibodies". They are not a...

    SBA PPP Loans Experiences?

I am a church treasurer. I submitted an application for the PPP, but now am wondering if I gave the right numbers for payroll. I submitted GROSS salary for everybody, instead of what would have been put in Box 1 for their W-2's. Box 1 would have included the cafeteria plan deductions that the...

    Hemorrhagic Stroke

My father had a brain stem hemorrhage in '99. He was extremely lucky that we had him another 18 years. It did put him in a wheelchair and affected his eyesight, but we still had him.

RMD? What to do with it if you don't need $

I understand, if you are creating charitable distributions, just to avoid taxes. However, if you had expected (budgeted) a particular amount for charity anyway, then the best way to fund that amount is through a QCD, so that it is untaxed.

Have You Freezed/Unfreezed Your Credit Yet?

FYI, this is no longer required. We received an e-mail from our security person that a part of the law that made freezing/thawing free also gave access to the folks for clearance re-investigations.

Were you expecting them to drive the Road to Hana to pick you up?

Anybody received their IRS forms order yet?

I'm responsible for our church's payroll/taxes, etc. At the end of each year, I put in an order to the IRS for Forms 1096 and 1099-MISC. These are free from the IRS, because, unlike other forms, you can't just download and use them from the IRS site. I usually get the order within 10 days...

Leonid and Friends - Extraordinary Chicago tribute band - now touring US

Before they left LA today, Michelle Kath (Terry Kath's daughter) paid another visit and showed that young guitarist her father's actual guitar. It brought him to tears!

Leonid and Friends - Extraordinary Chicago tribute band - now touring US

They just released their second album. And in true Chicago album-naming tradition, they're calling it Chicagovich II !

Leonid and Friends - Extraordinary Chicago tribute band - now touring US

I posted about this Russian group back in November and included one of their YouTube clips. Just wanted to follow up that they are currently in the middle of their first US tour. They played one night in NYC and are finishing 3 sold out nights in LA. There will be 3 shows in Chicago this week...
