I pay $30 a month for a gym membership (I go 4-days a week). i also replace my hiking shoes/running show once a year (some times twice) and those shoes usually run about $150 a pair. and if you count all the hiking vacations, then it will be more.
I enter all the deductions in TT even though I know that TT will default to the standard deduction because it is greater. Where it helps for me, is in State Taxes. As my itemized deductions are always greater than the state's standard deduction. All that info is just migrated over to the...
Interesting... in my youth experimenting with narcotics was the norm and I rarely drank. I never took to alcohol and rarely touch it except for social occasions. I'll still partake in a little drug use when the opportunity arises but I don't search it out. I do have alcoholics on both sides...
I'm currently clocking 45 miles a week running/hiking. I drink an average of 2 liters of water daily. I do not drink coffee, tea, juices or alcohol. I also drink water with every meal (which I just realized is not part of the 2 liter number above)

Six hours exactly...I'm out by a light by 11pm and wake up at 5am every weekday morning (my alarm is set for 5:05am but I rarely need it). I hit the gym at 5:30am..it was my routine in my working years and now it's still my routine in my retirement years. The only difference is that when I get...
My dad...he worked until almost 80..physical labor jobs and then promptly dropped dead once he stopped...I told myself at that time "that's not gonna be me"
I've had three physicals in the past 30+ years. I had a full battery of test done in Dec 2019 and when I was deemed healthy I gave notice and retired in Jan 2020.
I agree with some (but not all). I only got a smart phone in 2020 after years with my nokia flip phone. (or "drug dealer phone" as some of my friends called it). I spent $150. It does everything I need it to do (make phone calls and respond to texts). For a basic item as a phone I don't want...
