In my late 20's I read "Your Money or Your Life", which inspired us to dream big and set a path to FIRE. We decided Mr. Simple Girl would stay FT at his job and I would change to part-time, allowing me to focus on our finances and manage our life. I joined this forum which was instrumental to achieving FIRE in our early 50's. Living small allowed us to invest significantly over the years - we have never regretted it. My screen name "simple girl" represents the fact that I don't need material things to be happy - just health and the time to enjoy life with those that I love.
