Just started testing the Wyze Cam Pam V3 and Eufy 4k indoor. cameras. These both take and SD card and have a mobile app to view recorded or live videos. They also have push notification. The clarity on the Eufy is superior to the Wyze as Wyze is HD and Eufy is UHD. Both allow you to speak or...

Thanks for the info: SNVXXhas an gross expense ratio of 0.38%,,, seems high to me for a money market fund. Is that yield, 4.11 %, after expenses ? I'll have to check what my Vanguard cash account fee is...

Are we getting soaked on shower quotes?

Central California We replaced 3 tub showers over the last few years. I did everything except the tiling for 2 of them. Two of the baths have 72" tall by 3/4" thick glass doors. Had a buddy help put those up. The faucets and shower hardware were over 2K, Kohler brand I believe. Only spent...

Final 2022 Cost of Living - Total Household Expenses (Not Including Travel)

Total expenses for "everything" is about 80k in 2021. This includes 11k for travel. :coolsmiley: It does not include the tuition we pay for the grandkids, so I guess not everything . One graduating 2024, one started in 2022 and one expected to start in 2025. Looks like we'll be...

IRMAA - how to avoid with this xtra tax

IRMAA for only 2 months? I've been doing some reading and it appears that IRMAA fees are recalculated every year, January 1 believe. So, if I file in Nov 2023 then I pay IRMAA on tax filing from 2021. It seems in January 2024 SSA will recalculate to look at 2022 tax filing. If that's the...

Thanks everyone for your input.:greetings10: This is just another "gotcha" that we didn't plan for. I try to plan a few years ahead to catch things like this. For example, buying a car in the next 3 years, or roof replacement in the next 5 years, fence replacement ... etc. This one just...

Treasury Bills, Notes, and Bonds Discussion

Checking today on Vanguard i see some Morgan Stanley CD's, 1 yr @ 4%. However, the 1 yr Tbill is paying 4% and no local or state taxes. My question is why would anyone pick the CD over the Tbill? Seems like a no "brainer" to me but what do I know.
