I "made" $65K today. Why am I having a hard time donating to charity???

I've found that, to become a cheerful giver, it helps to start early in life. It's about developing a good habit, like many others, that gets easier with practice.

    Walking away from the money

"Anyone else been here?" Yes, most of us have been there. It's about prioritizing other values over money and acting accordingly. When do you say "Enough"?

Do you draw from your Traditional 401(k)/IRA or from your Roth 401(k)/Roth IRA first?

I may be oversimplifying but I think of it as a tax question. If I think my taxes will be going up in the future - e.g., because of new income (social security/pension/rmd's) or increasing tax rates - then I should draw from tIRA first and pay tax on that income now rather than later. If I...

Nice summary from Ways and Means on proposed changes to ACA released today...

    My retirement quandaries

What a great post! You're obviously giving this a great deal of thought and that is a good thing. The others are correct - this is an individual dilemma only you can answer - but, in the spirit of taking your questions at face value, I will give you my perspective.
