    WeatherTech liners

I have the Husky liners in my truck and recently purchased the Weathertech for my moms new car as a birthday present. In my opinion both are comparable and work wonderfully at keeping the carpets looking new. However, I feel they make the car feel “less polished” on the interior. Husky liners...

Roundabout Hate & Related investment Idea ?

I just watched a recent Mythbusters episode in which they tested the effectiveness of roundabouts vs. 4 way stops. According to their conclusions roundabouts were 20% more effective at handling traffic. Of course that assumes everyone knows how to use them and does not take other traffic into...

Below but I am still working. I would imagine that if you are still working and on this forum you would be LBYM. Just contributing to any pre-tax savings would put one in this category. Unless you are FI and enjoy working of course. Sent from my iPhone using Early Retirement Forum

    Hello!

Welcome to the community! I think you will find the knowledge on this forum to be very informative. With that being said, a majority of the the members (IMHO) are index fund, rebalance "rinse and repeat" type investors (myself included) and not individual stock, market timers. There is...

what did you do today? (2008-2015) (closed)

I had the pleasure of cooking at Eggfest today. Ate a ton of really good food, met others who share the same passion for cooking and shared tips with others just getting started. All in all a very good day! Now I have to complete a two hour workout tomorrow to burn it off! Sent from my iPad...

    What you consider *superior* products

Very nice braumeister! I made my own table (wood) but it is no where near as nice as these stainless steel models. Plus I have to sand and stain mine every year which is a Pain in the ***. Congrats and happy "egging". Sent from my iPad using Early Retirement Forum

How did you come up with your Username here?

It was supposed to be "Pleepleus" which is the monkey from the show Drinking Made Easy. However I spelled it wrong when setting up the account on my phone, didn't realize it until later and couldn't figure out how to change it.

Most important financial decision in your life

Dito.... Education came a little later in life for me as I had an extended "party phase". Met DW at school (she was my financial aid advisor). With an open window to my finances I am still trying to figure out what she saw in me. ;) since then things have turned around dramatically. Sent from...

Brewing Beer At Home, Part Deux

what did you do today? (2008-2015) (closed)

Last weekend a group of us did some cross training by running up and down a large hill (1/4) mile for an hour carrying 50 lbs sand bags. Long story short, the hill was uncut and I now have poison ivy from my knees to my ankles! I am not sure if it was the repeated exposure, open pores from...

LBYMs what do you splurge on?

Travel here as well. At least one family trip each year. I also do a University of Pittsburgh road football game each year (4 day weekend) with a group of old college buddies that now live all across the country. Good times, great memories and we get to see many different college football venues!

What is the worst financial advice you have received?

I haven't received much financial advice outside of my own research and this forum. However, I did just have a co-worker try to convince me that borrowing against your 401K was a good idea whenever you are in a pinch for cash. This was following his decision to purchase a new motorcycle with a...
