    Smart Watch Heart Rate accuracy

I have been an Apple Watch user since the day I had a heart cath that led me to bypass surgery in 2015. I monitor everything very accurately with the Apple Watch but there are two things I’ve found that impact it. First is I’m on a beta blocker (bisoprolol in my case but there are...

    Refrigerator upgrade

My only advice is to avoid Samsung appliances. I've got a 3 year old Samsung refrigerator that keeps freezing up every 2 months and has to be manually defrosted. When you do searches online you see this is a very common problem and one that isn't fixable. Stick with Whirlpool brands.

Is AppleCare Plus really a good deal?

I've purchased some AppleCare in the past but decided a few years ago to just use a credit card that provided extended warranty protection. I haven't had a need to use it yet but that's been my approach. As someone else said earlier in the thread, if you're careful with your phone then I don't...

    What Grill do you Recommend

I got the same deal today too. That will go with my Vision Ceramic smoker for a good combo. BTW...Sam’s Club has the Vision Ceramic smoker on sale for $399 when I was there today. That’s a great alternative to the $1,000 Big Green Egg. I’ve been very happy with mine.

    What Grill do you Recommend

I have a Vision kamado grill that is a Big Green Egg knockoff and I love it. I have used Big Green Egg’s in the past, and this Vision is identical. It was half the price though. Costco and Sam’s Club carries them. Highly recommended.

He was a smoker for many years from his teens to his late 50's. It's my understanding that it was related to him getting pneumonia and his COPD and congestive heart failure made it hard for him to fight off the fluid buildup. Each time he got pneumonia it was harder for him to fight off. Think...

    Heart valve: biologic vs mechanical

My Dad had a mechanical aortic valve that was put in during the early 1990's when he was 58 years old, and was on Coumadin the rest of his life. Overall, it was a great story as he lived until 85 with no further heart procedures needed. That said, the Coumadin was not ideal and eventually played...

Update on Cord Cutting (Cable TV) 2017 - 2020

I recently switched from Spectrum Cable TV to YouTube TV and I couldn't be happier. The DVR function is excellent as is the picture quality. I got in while it was still $35/month. This will cut $50/month off my cable TV/Internet bill per month.
