    It's spreading out

You've noticed that too, I thought it was just me. I went to the gym yesterday, it seems they're making weights out of a heavier material these days. 50 pounds is actually much heavier than it used to be.

Thank You all. I see I am missing something, I was preparing to make a larger purchase of ETV. I'll slow down and dig a little more.

    It's spreading out

I appreciate the humorous responses that seemed to catch my drift. I also sincerely appreciate the serious responses as heartfelt advice. I went camping this weekend, I'm reluctant to mention that the ground is much harder than it used to be.

Tax advanted fund in a Roth?

Thanks Cheese and everyone else for the replies. I'm not a good communicator, but I'm grateful for the advice. Like my REITS, ETV pays a very good dividend. I am an income investor. Plan to wipe out savings

Thanks Thanks very much to everyone. Although I've discussed my plans with two trusted friends, this was my first feedback from a large group. I'm quite reassured now. Especially from an experienced group of like minded folks. Someone asked about my phrase "laddered 2 year annuities", I meant...

    Plan to wipe out savings

Hi Y'all, I'm 53 and looking at 55 as the year I can retire. I've run the numbers time and again. Only 2 years away, so the figures are more accurate than if I was planning decades out. I will change my home before I retire and recheck the math taking the new home costs into consideration. My...
