My net worth dashboard on Personal Capital just crossed the $9.5MM mark. Had I perfectly timed my exit and re-entry into the markets recently I would probably be around $10MM (but had I stayed in would have probably locked in $400k of losses so not complaining. :) $10MM net worth includes...

Absolutely - I tried to get short but ended up on the wrong side a couple times already... But I actually bought SPY , QQQ, and IWM with about 25% of my cash at the close today. We had a decent retest of the non- flash crash lows around 187 so got long for a likely bounce. Sent from my...

Still sitting in all cash since my original post(s). Seems to have been the right move by saving myself $400k of paper losses. Sent from my iPhone using Early Retirement Forum

Futures deep in the red this AM -- clearly mkts are looking to sell rallies instead of buying the dips now and I expect that to continue until a retest of last Monday's lows and possible quite lower (174 SPY) Sent from my iPhone using Early Retirement Forum

I didn't get whipsawed since I am still sitting in All Cash. I monitor the positioned I sold every day to track whether I am still ahead of the game or would have been better off staying the course.. As of the close on Friday, I am still ahead by $180k by going to cash taking into account...

With futures popping again this morning I will not be a buyer here - I'm expecting another rug pull unless Yellen takes a Sept hike off the table. Sent from my iPad using Early Retirement Forum

As of the close of the market today - I have spared myself a $400k drawdown. I am considering getting back in tomorrow AM as i expect a bounce before heading lower again.

I'm with you on this sentiment opinion. I went to All Cash this past Wed after the Fed minutes were released and trading became volatile. Sold at the pop around SPY 209. Saved me over $200k of paper losses but I agree more room to fall. 1850 S&P could come quickly. That's where I would start...

Well I'm back to All Cash after riding the pop in the markets up 40k and back down yesterday/today I went back to cash -- it's just such a precarious market right now that we NEED a significant enough pullback to keep moving higher. Sent from my iPhone using Early Retirement Forum

Well -- I'm back in the market this AM. Looked like a fair place to jump back in albeit without the larger expected drop. Mostly SPY , with tilt to QQQ and IWM along with VNQI (in IRA). These positions are up $15k since purchased so off to a reasonably good start :) Sent from my iPhone using...
