    Confused 30 Year Old

I passed $800k this year. I don't currently own any real estate, renting in California by the beach. Rent is about 27% of gross which is a bit frustrating, but okay for now. Thinking I'll be back in Arizona when I do retire. Definitely not planning to stay in government until 57 like I had...

Why are you so hostile? If people knew that there was a dedicated thread for MYGAs on the forums similar to this one, they would not have bothered discussing them here in the first place.

Medigap Shopping: Closing the Book & Rate Increases

I don't know that that's necessarily true. For example, people who cause car accidents are going to have higher rates from car insurance companies. when they shop around. People go through underwriting for life insurance and receive premiums based on said underwriting...

The only alcohol that I tolerate the taste of loaded up with sugar. Basically, umbrella drinks.

Why are older Americans drinking so much

Interesting! When you do those life span calculators, they usually say that if you drink a little bit, you'll live longer than if you don't drink at all.

New cardiologist not care about my cholesterol

I got the hashimotos/hypo diagnosis myself not too long ago. I take 25mcg of Levo every day which seemed to improve the TSH good enough for the PCP. I'm in my late 30s. My cholesterol has been high too, but I figured that was diet related....I guess it might not be.

Get G HD instead? No real difference between the two? United American is in PA and is typically people's choice for F HD/G HD and offers both in PA. Globe Life (who owns United American) also has a G HD in PA.

    Medigap - Direct or Agent?

Of course not. It's also important to note that some insurers are simply not available through agents because they are only available direct to consumer.. Do you want USAA Medigap? You will need to sign up through USAA. Do you want State Farm medigap? You will need to sign up through State Farm.
