Ready to be diagnosed by ChatGPT?

No doubt some docs are already using this type of technology and are acting only as the human interface, which I have no problem with whatsoever. If it improves the overall quality of healthcare, that's a real plus in my book.

Poll: How Many Scam Cold Calls Do You Get Per Day?

I voted "none" if I get a call that I don't recognize the number or area code, I let it go to voice mail. If it is important they will leave a message and I can always call back if I like.

How much do you spend per month on fitness?

I have a Planet Fitness membership for $10 a month, which includes access to the gym and its amenities. Additionally, I purchase a couple of pairs of walking shoes each year for my fitness routine. While I spend approximately $100 a week on golf green fees, I consider my membership and the cost...

Long Wait Time to get Appointment with Dermatologist

Many of us boomers came of age in an era where unquestioning trust in doctors was the norm. Nowadays, being your own advocate in healthcare is essential, as providers often find themselves at the mercy of the institutions they work for.

Long Wait Time to get Appointment with Dermatologist

+1 Accessing specialized healthcare in Chattanooga can be quite the waiting game, with waits of two to three weeks for a urologist, three weeks for a spine specialist, and two weeks for a dermatologist. For urgent issues, it often means resorting to "doc in the box" clinics or the ER...

Anyone else NOT watch the news?

I keep up with mainstream media like CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, FOX Business, FOX News, and News Nation, and I also read "The Economist" to maintain a balanced perspective on current events. However, I try to maintain a healthy perspective, recognizing that worrying about things beyond my control is...

RIP: Dickey Betts (Allman Bros Band)

I saw Dicky and the ABB back in the early 70s. A band that truly sounded better live than on the vinyl. RIP Mr. Betts.

    Just hit #7

In simpler terms, the number of stars you have reflects how much you've engaged with the human experience in this online space. It's like a measure of how active and involved you've been. This measurement is connected to how much you've contributed and collaborated with others, but it's not a...

    Sildenafil 50mg for Pulmonary Hypertension

My urologist has me taking 5mg of tadalafil (Cialis) daily for BPH. Insurance doesn't cover it but the pharmacy uses a good RX coupon or something so the cost is about $25 for a month supply. Otherwise the cost I was quoted would be around $250.
