    Any disc golfers out there?

The first disk golf course is in the town I lived in and adjacent to where I worked. Only tried it a few times although I do like frisbees. One in not 'supposed' to drink in that public park. I like the idea of spontaneously setting up a course, and carrying drinks.

    Electric Vehicles - Models Discussion

If you are buying, not leasing, the next one you could buy a bit early, if its a real good deal. Can even sell a lease although I have no problem with an extra car. Some years back we leased a Miata for a year because we were not sure how it would work (we had a young son) loved it, found a...

    For Musicans - Music Notation

Interesting discussion, I'll have to ask my musican son (percussion, don't ask) who has an income stream from transcription work. Also teaches basic piano and guitar. He is familiar with the whole notation system, I'm not. But an old, long gone, friend of mine was an exceptional musican (played...

    Electric Vehicles - Models Discussion

Cybertruck parked near my house, looks interesting, not for me, I want a small EV the Bolt EV we have it the largest one I want, prefer something the size of the Fiat 500E or Smart EV, I expect the Chinese (Korean, Japanese?) will fill this void.

    Thanks sent

A few times when I was particularly moved or learned something I found important I sent a PM to the poster. Not a public thing but a way to communicate with the poster.

    CGM - Continuous Glucose Monitor

I'll be getting one for sure, tired of daily and other time finger sticks. Was PreD (A1C 5.9) and cannot get a prescription from Dr. Managed to get blood glucose down via low carb diet an intermitent fasting but that seems less effective after a couple years. This could help a lot of people...

    Handling old DRP's

Many years ago had DSP/DRIPs and had the paper stock certificates issued to me and took those to my brokerage (Wells Fargo) and they transferred them into my WF account. Still have the NC shares at WF, so keep your cost info.

The End of the Golden Era (for US Equities)?

Interesting article in The Economist Magazine, says essentially the 'golden age' is over for the US: "....in ten years’ time nobody will be repeating the obvious conclusion of today: that investors in equities—especially American ones—have enjoyed a golden age" But bonds don't look so great (to...

    Too much money in IRA

At your ages maybe missed a few golden opportunities to convert traditional IRAs to Roth IRAs but still good to go through the calculations to see the tax impact of conversions. The goal is trying to avoid getting kicked into a higher tax bracket from RMDs and when only one remains. I have been...

    Home EV charging

Takes a good understanding of your electric usage to decide, not obvious from the rates. When I got my first electric car my utility offered a very low night rate for two years then went to low at night but HIGHER in the day WHY? Just give the lower off peak rate and I will seek it out. No need...

    Vision problems after cataract surgery

My eye doctor strongly tried to discourage me from getting multifocal lenses. I went with them anyway and am happy. Vision is not perfect (20/40) but massively better than before and passes dirvers test. I did try nultifocal contacts first and that was the best vision I ever had. Later doctor...
