How do you change your mindset?

ER Eddie, You see me very clearly. I am not well. I OMY’d one year too many and paid a price. I am inspired by the Japanese idea of kintsugi and am letting that be my focus. Others: I appreciate the book recommendations and will look into doing some reading. I so, so appreciate the support...

How do you change your mindset?

This is a good point. I’m thinking I need to divorce myself from the idea that my value is related to my earning ability. I have been using the “I can always go back to work” as a coping strategy but I’m so burned out that the thought of working in my chose field makes me almost physically sick...

Today was my last day on the toxic healthcare megacorp job...I’m not as well off as some who post here but firecalc and my financial planner says we are okay. I’ve been OMY’ing for the last couple of years...but I finally needed to prioritize my mental and physical health. But tonight, I’m...

Seeking Input on Living in Nevada or Utah

We looked all over in the county but chose Hurricane because we felt the city was on the upswing for growth. Our money went further in Hurricane as well. Prices are def on the rise. We also experienced a more responsive city government and fewer bureaucratic hurdles when we called to ask...

Seeking Input on Living in Nevada or Utah

Yes, we will have to watch that. Right now, Hurricane allows it but STG does not unless you’re in a designated area. Did you decide to buy anything?

Seeking Input on Living in Nevada or Utah

Sure, we bought a for sale by owner near sand hollow and about a mile off of I-15. We are right in between STG and Hurricane versus being down in Hurricane proper. We wanted to downsize but didn’t want an HOA and what we looked at that was smaller either still cost the same as what we bought...

    Bedtime Night Guard

I've been soaking mine in hydrogen peroxide and it clears a lot of the deposits off of them. Even hubs said it looked clearer after I started soaking it. So far, all looks good. Rinse well before putting back in your mouth tho. :)

    That little voice...

New here, but what I'd say to John is: "proceed with haste." All I have to do to convince me of that is look at Crocs and Jibbitz. Croc shoes were the biggest things since sliced bread. Jibbitz was a company that made charms that allowed you to customize your Crocs. Jibbitz was a hit, and...
