Somewhat cloudy dawn

Last night the central A/C died. We have several mini window A/Cs cooling the place (~850 sf). Prepping for disaster (hurricane) can come in handy, no matter the event.

DH went on a grocery run this morning: milk, bread, wine. I haven't been anywhere since 19th. Did 3 mile walk, will put out laundry.

I'm an introvert with solar panels and several weeks of food.

I collect sunrises.

We had already been stocking up for hurricane season. Much propane and gasoline. Solar panels. 2 months of survival rations, and a vegetable garden.

Went off island this morning at dawn to different doctor to get prescriptions renewed. The whole medical system is a mess. Am looking into changing doctor/service. Pill A will mess with pill B and who knows what pill C will do. Growing old sucks moose balls. And here's a sunset.

Morning

The microwave arrived at 8pm yesterday. It is a joy to have Back to one dishwasher load per day.

Living without a microwave is annoying. I have been doing 2 dishwasher loads a day because am using pans and steamer that have to be washed.

Had to cook breakfast in the frying pan this morning, as the microwave died yesterday.

Got the first shingrix shot today.

Yesterday From the dock

Today I went to the dentist and got the permanent crown for tooth #24. This getting old is expensive. Couldn't eat until 6:30PM, which is almost bedtime.

Nature

Gave blood this morning. Got a fleece blanket and a voucher for a beer. Drank hte beer.

Went to dentist. Had first stage of root canal. Getting old sucks moose balls.

Dawn

Got the flu shot. Got on the waiting list for shingrix.

Went to the dentist for an estimate. Tooth #24 broke off. Cheapest suggestion was root canal, rod, and crown. Growing old is expensive.

DH off to gas station at 5AM to fill two gas cans. 80 gallons should suffice, along with two full propane tanks.
