    either the "Certified Financial Planner" is incompetent -

    Planner offered refund of part of the $500 fee after receiving my (polite) email that requested termination of services and detailed a few reasons why. So that's a good thing...though I am left with some sense of "buyer's remorse" anyway. Guess I really wanted Mr. X to be clearly competent...

    or I am. I felt like I was in the Twilight Zone last night when I started reading the "Personal Financial Analysis" he presented. This consisted of about twenty pages total - some boilerplate re "Income Tax Planning" and investments that wasn't personal to us, and the rest pretty colored graphs...
