Perfect computer mouse for clumsy old lady

Perfect computer mouse for clumsy old lady

Wow, that's insane! It's as though they are saying Illinois isn't even in the country. I'd be furious. Well, I suppose you could get the Amazon Basics mouse. It is almost as good, and I think it's just a buck or two more. But still, what an insult to Illinois!!!

Perfect computer mouse for clumsy old lady

I am old (76 next month), and clumsier than anyone could possibly believe. When I am on the internet, posting on exciting threads like this one:2funny: , I get carried away and tend to either drop or actually accidently THROW my mouse on the floor. Yes, it doesn't take much to excite me. LOL...

What is the last thing you ordered from Amazon?

Salt! Probably the first time in 20 years I have run out of salt. Apparently it has gone up in price - - it's now $7 for a container of salt this size from Amazon.

Restaurant adding fee for use of credit card

We like paying in cash, and haven't used a CC at a restaurant in decades. So, actually we had no idea this was going on. Sounds inconvenient for CC users!

    Maintaining our relationship in retirement.

Same here. Frank and I have similar interests, but happen to have explored different activities related to those interests. So, his activities are interesting to me (but not boring), and vice versa. Since we don't live together, we don't have to spend time together when one or the other of us...

A Friend in need , how can I help

I guess I have a unique outlook on this. I believe that there are some things that a person has to do for himself/herself, and that nobody else can "fix" for them. Getting out of debt due to over-spending is one.

what office software product do you use?

When I was working, my work paid for the latest Microsoft Office and I could install a copy of it at home to use on work stuff at home if needed. When I retired, I just didn't feel right about continuing to use that copy of MS Office at home since it was supposed to be only for work. So, I...

    Naked Gardening Day 2024

Sorry, I don't like gardening either with or without clothes! I'll pass. Years ago I had all the trees and bushes removed from my yard, so all I have left is grass. And, I have a kindly older gentleman named Percy who only charges me $35 to mow my lawn with his rider mower. He has done so on...

This weather is awful - 2024 to ?

Those tornados in Oklahoma, Kansas, Iowa, and nearby states were awful today! I watched them on youtube. We didn't get any tornados or other scary weather here, although the wind did get gustier than previously predicted and who knows what tomorrow may bring. Hope everyone is OK.

I have COVID and need help. I am in panic mode

Glad you are feeling better. I only had Covid once, back in 2021, but in my case it was severe and awful. I was in the ICU in the hospital for about three weeks, and still felt awful when they released me but I wanted to go home SO badly and they really needed the bed for even sicker Covid...

No ads here, either. Maybe they'll show up soon, though I hope they don't. Or maybe being logged in is helping me, as Dtail suggested above.

    Romantic Relationships Post FIRE

Frank and I have been devoted to one another for the past 23 years, in what I guess you could call a FWB relationship. Before we met, he was married for decades and then his wife died. Before we met I was married for decades after which I divorced my DH, and a decade later he died. So, by the...

Struggling with asset allocation as young retiree

Back in 2005 I was trying to figure out a good retirement asset allocation (for me). I found Rick Ferri's book, "All about Asset Allocation" helped me to think through it. Here's the link to that book...

    The Blues (music)

Back in the 1960's Lightnin' Hopkins was playing for a while at a very small bar on San Pablo Ave. in Berkeley, California. Those were the "good ol' days" of course, so we could go watch him for the cost of one beer ($1.00); IIRC the cover charge was free. Which was good, because I didn't have...

Programming a replacement Remote Key Entry fob

This would be the easiest solution, if your DW is like most women. I think our minds are just set up for finding such items. Honestly, and not meaning to brag, I have never lost a key fob in my life. It's just not something that ever, ever happens to me. "A place for everything, and everything...

Anyone else NOT watch the news?

I have always been a "news junkie". I want to know what's going on! But in the past few years, I feel most standard news sources have become somewhat biased (one way or the other). I was brought up in the days when editorials were mostly on the editorial page, and news was mostly on...

    Five Years Retired: Lessons Learned

I guess I was lucky. All along I had planned to retire on the federal government's "MRA+10" schedule (minimum retirement age plus 10 years' service), which would have had me retire on November 7th, 2009. This was the earliest possible day for me to retire with retirement benefits. I discovered a...
