    %Percent Private credit app

Here is a description: What is private credit investing? Private credit is an alternative asset class consisting of privately negotiated loans and debt financing from non-bank lenders. Private companies, which don't have access to public markets, must turn to private credit markets to finance...

    %Percent Private credit app

It's not P2P. You could see how much the entity is trying to raise, how much raised so far, and when the opportunity was closing. You could also find how many loans they have oustanding and the debt on those. I created an account, but haven't funded it. Sounds interesting and might throw...

    %Percent Private credit app

Daily Upside carried a link for this app today. Accredited investors (self-certifying, I think) can create a portfolio, research deals, and participate at various minimum levels. A quick scan showed minimums from $500-2500, terms around 1 year, and yields in the teens. Anybody have experience...

How do you cheer yourself up after mistake purchase?

We went LZBoy and bought their top of the line recliner. After a few months, it just wasn't what I was looking for. Bit the bullet and sold it on CL for about 50%. We now have a set of Valencia theatre recliners that I bought strictly off the internet reviews. They are good, but not awesome...

Texas - What do see and do

I'll give you some Panhandle stuff, just in case you pass that way. Palo Duro Canyon Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum in Canyon, TX. Block out three hours, minimum. It's great. The Slaton Bakery in downtown Slaton, TX. I don't know what they put in their dough, but it should be...

    Where To Turn To?

Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life. He has always been and always will be. The Bible is His word of truth. I hope you ask Him to help you. Feel free to PM.

Anybody else 100% stocks, no bonds?

I'm 60, retired 5 years, and I'm currently 80/20, equities/cash, with 70% in individual equities and 45% of that in IT stocks. We could change our lifestyle at the drop of a hat and live off cash/pension until the market comes back. My cash rises when things are frothy and I buy in the dips...

Hi and I want Go-Big-Or-Go-Home Investment Ideas for My Roth IRA

Go big It's not about discovering the next big growth stock (as any "fool" will tell you), it's about holding it long term and riding through the inevitable volatility and the will to let a stock, or stocks, be a high percentage of the account.

Help with a trip to the southwest

Get some tamales at Teresa's Tamales off Hwy 518 just north of Cleveland, NM. I was there two days ago and can't stop thinking about them. Red pork tamales with Christmas sauce (red and green). Out of this world. Big Bend NP is fantastic and has lots of elbow room, but Thanksgiving through...

Is the Motley Fool "Stock Advisor" really worth it?

I went with their premium service, which gave me access to almost all of the portfolios and recommendations. That's given me small cap, micro cap, international, and many other exposures that I would never have had to this level. My portfolio is very diverse at this point. They also provide...

Is the Motley Fool "Stock Advisor" really worth it?

I went all in with MF in June. That was lucky timing as they are all over growth stocks, of course. I'm sticking with them again this year and my services will cost about 0.2%. I know it's not for everybody, but I'm happy to pay that to let them do the work. I believe in their philosophies...

    Dryuary

We're doing it to offset the "eating season" which runs Thanksgiving thru NYD, including our anniversary. No bread, no sweets, no alcohol, no starchy vegetables. Just to drop that (harumph) pounds I gained in the last 5 weeks. Then back to balance and moderation until next Thanksgiving. I've...

    Class of 2017

My last day at the office will be December 16. My replacement should be here after Thanksgiving for a handoff. This is a unique and weird experience. I've already had one sendoff with several more planned. Lots of emotions involved in this separation.

    Starting SEPP's after I turn 55.

I'm going to execute an SEPP with Fidelity next year. Already did a dry run and they will calculate by the method I choose.

I sure hope it is what I expected!

We must be close to same schedule. My last day is December 16! People ask me constantly what I will do in ER. I belong to a very active church and the opportunities to serve are limitless. It's fun, rewarding, and a great social setting, as well. That will fill the gaps between golfing...

    Truck campers

Eagle Cap is supposed to be on high-end of the quality spectrum. We have budgeted for new because DW is a germophobe and I want all the new upgrades like LED lighting and recliners instead of a dinette. I got a 4x4 dually diesel for <$50k out-the-door, so we're ahead of projections there...

    Truck campers

I'm getting a truck camper next year. Most likely an Eagle Cap 960. It will allow us to access primitive camping locations that a trailer cannot, or we can take along dirt bikes on a small trailer. We can visit friends and park in their driveway and not inconvenience anyone.

    Advice for childless couple?

Great information. Not only are we childfree, we live in a barn miles from town and no neighbors in sight (to see the buzzards circling, I guess). The plan is to sell out when we can't manage out there any longer. I hope we find a good advocate when needed. God Bless all the big hearts that...

    DB pension choice

The 100% joint-and-survivor option always seemed like a no-brainer, but now that it's time to make that decision, there are definitely different perspectives that can be examined. I'll dispense with most of them, since DW has no benefits other than mine and she gets to make this decision, but...

    Class of 2017
