Aflac

Anyone taken out any of the Aflac health policies ? They seem to get up in cost past age 50 and the payments though made directly to you seem awfully small relative to the premiums paid (nature of "insurance").

I have a HSA with Humana and LTC in place already. Just wondering some of the others thoughts, pro/con.

We were offered this at a previous employer. The people who signed up for it LOVED the program. No one made a claim while I was there, but they were very happy with the idea of getting cash if they were sick. This seems to greatly appeal to some people.

I could not justify such a purchase based on the cost compared to the benefit received (and likelihood of a claim). This must be a very profitable business.
