Thinks s/he gets paid by the post
I just re-read my 6 year anniversary post and thread:
http://www.early-retirement.org/forums/f29/six-years-71848.html
And just like that, yesterday marked 8 years since our first day of ER.
We're healthy, have a wonderful social circle and a number of interests to keep us engaged. Our withdrawals support our desired lifestyle and then some and our portfolio is doing well.
The not so great aspects of life continue too. Like the chores, the short illnesses and the larger tragedies like the unexpected passing of friends and relatives. But I don't begrudge those - just part of living. Makes me appreciate all the good stuff even more.
