As I approach the end of the year, I finalize my Tax planning and Look at my Budget Planning.

Alas I find I am way Under Budget for my Spending.

Do I panic - No ! - I start researching the latest electronic toys. New Digital Cameras, Another Tube Amplifier to Build, A trip to the Islands in February!

Who said Budgets are not any fun!

We don't keep a budget any more, although I think
it's a good idea. I skip it because I am lazy and am
so tuned into our finances, things just kind of work out
each month. My first serious try at budgeting was when
I was semiretired and married to my first wife. In 2 years we made budget only once, barely. Once I recall
our expenses were twice the monthly budget (partly
why she is my ex wife :). I started up again after my
divorce and continued for quite some time. My life was
pretty simple then, and I only had to account for me, so
that worked out okay. After I remarried, I never really
tried to start it up. Laziness again. Would rather
spend my time on other stuff. Also, I would want to
analyze the results which might lead to marital
acrimony. Who needs that??
