No personal opinion on either one, but a 5-year chart shows Chevron at +25% Exxon -5%

Novice investor here ....
I've been buying both CVX and XOM over the last 2 yearS - I think I was adding to both up until January 2022 ish
I'm 40% stocks.
4% CVX @105 avg cost
2.5% XOM. @ 65 avg cost
Even though they are off their highs, I plan to sell 10% of the shares in both. I worry that politicians, plus their Saudi and Iran buddies will figure out how to pump a bit more in time for Election Day. If I'm wrong, what else is new - I missed upside
But real products, made by real workers, used by real customers, to generate real cash, to generate real profits, to pay real dividends.....I must admit, God I love that.
