Most large employers to keep health insurance benefit-survey

Lots of interesting statistics, thanks for posting. What employers do re: HC over the next 5-10 years will be pivotal I assume.

Only about 26 percent of large employers surveyed were very confident their company will offer healthcare benefits in 10 years. That is a slight increase from last year's 23 percent, but a sharp drop from 73 percent five years ago.

During the next five years, 60 percent of large employers said it was not at all likely they would discontinue health care plans for full-time employees and send them to the government exchanges with a financial subsidy for insurance.

Good article. I would guess employer's thoughts about providing future benefits are in part the result of a pretty big increase in the cost over the past 5 years.

Both articles appear to be based on the same study.

Those two quotes are not contradictory, so this headline could also be written - "40% of large employers plan to drop Health Care Plans for full-time employees in the next five years!". And then they could quote some big numbers of employees affected, because that could sound more 'exciting' than %'s.
