Perseid Meteor Shower

I loaded up the camper and tossed in an inflatable mattress and double sleeping bag. We DW and I, went up to Big Hill Helipad.

No one else was on the helipad, just us. We laid on the air mattress with a jar of Nutella and other snacks watching the show. Around 2 to 2:30 was the best. We couldn't count to 30 seconds without seeing at least one meteor. We saw as many as 3 or 4 at a time. Great show!

It cleared up nicely here and we had the best perseid shower we've seen in several years.

Very nice here too. I went out from about 3:00 to 4:00 on Thursday night. There were many meteors every minute or so. An awesome show! It was nice at 3:00 with a couple of blankets and a lawn chair that tilted all the way back, but by 4:00 the temperature had dropped considerably. It was 39 degrees at 6:00 in the morning.

I watched for an hour last Thursday, but didn't see squat. Too much light and too many clouds. Shame.
