wow, I can't believe nobody started a NY's resolution thread yet.
It's a dirty j*b but I guess I'll have to do it...
ahem...
I resolve to lose at least 5 and hopefully 10 lbs by year end.
I resolve to not let OPB (other people's bull****) get to me anymore cuz I'm FIREd.
I resolve to enjoy my cruise and let the extra cost of port excursions be damned. This is a once in a lifetime voyage.

Next?

This year I do not have any. Im pretty satisfied with myself. Ah wait heres is one I shall work on not having run on sentences because I know it probably is not conducive to message board interaction.

I made a New Year's resolution several years ago to not make anymore New Year's resolutions.....so far so good! In fact, I think it was the first New Year's resolution that I've ever kept!

I am going to try to connect with relatives and friends more. I really don't have a reason not to do a better job at keeping in touch with people. If I could lose 20 lbs and be better organized, that would be the icing on the cake.

I don't have any. I just plan to be same old born loser I have always been. :D

Happy New year!

Live long & prosper!

That's easy. I'm going to pass the CFA level 3 exam and then get a life. I thought this was an exam about being a finance pro, but it's really about Chucking your Freedom Away. :)

At the age of 12, or was it 13, I made a New Year Resolution to never make another resolution. It lasts until now.

Same as previous 3 years - hang on in there at work to get that pension and retiree health insurance. This time next year I'll be home and dry.

I'm going to pretty much do the same things next year that I did this year, and not do the same things that I didn't do this year.

Spouse and I have started more hard-core exercise. It's good to have a workout buddy.

I'm going to pay less attention to the markets this year, or at least focus less on the details and more on the big picture. Of course it's pretty easy not to look at this market.

This summer, instead of the whole family having to travel to colleges, she's going to week-long campus programs at her short list. We're going to put her on the plane and wave bye-bye. And while she's on the plane she can work on her applications essays...

Last year I resolved to run more, but somehow, and I think this is pertinent to your comment, that devolved into me using run-on sentences more often and succumbing to dyslexia at least once per sentence.

Oh and my current resolution is going to be to do my laundry at least once a month. This sums up my feelings on that subject: http://achewood.com/index.php?date=02022007

Getting back to exercise as my wrist recovers.

My resolution is to get a better sense of who I am and embrace it fully.....and to eat more chocolate :)

Walk more, resume golfing and make new friends. Widowhood lost a lot and a couple of forced career moves along with FIRE scared off the rest of the local acquaintances. Take a class or two at the local CC. Quit obsessing over the market and relax without worrying about being a bag lady!

Mine is to FIRE!

I almost did it this year - I even penciled in a day to give notice, but my boss was out sick that day. By the next day, I changed my mind due to wicked bad news in the market that day...

As far as FIRE subjects go, my resolution is to trust in the 4% plan. So far, so good.

And generally continue last year's resolution to lighten up and have fun. :D

I resolve to lose 10 pounds in 10 weeks and then hold it. But this plan hit a snag yesterday when I broke my leg. I'll have to wait a while for cardio to resume

Yikes! How did this happen? I hope it is not too bad and will heal well and quickly.

Ha

My resolution is to bribe as many people in town as necessary in order to find my wife a job so I can stop worrying about losing mine...

The cast doesn't help either!!!! :D

I resolve to get all my firewood split.

I resolve to not collect any new firewood, unless it's really good quality and not far from home.

I resolve to join a new club, cook a new recipe once a month , finish my to do list and have a few adventures this year .
