Smart Money Broker Evaluation

SmartMoney's 2009 Broker Survey at SmartMoney.com

I use Fidelity and Schwab which both rank pretty well. I prefer Schwab and can consistently shoot the breeze and resolve concerns with the same fellow for no extra fees.

thanks for the link. once again i find these surveys to be useless. Do I really care if a broker offers 16,000 funds if 15,981 are useless crap?

it's infinitely better to ask about a broker here than to go by these surveys.

I just need a cheap place to buy and hold index ETF's. I don't need banking, research or like LOL! a gazillion funds. I'd use Wells Fargo but used to bank there and will never deal with them again so I use Scottrade instead.
