Hi all.

I'm considering doing an SEPP for tax reasons (see my reply to @38Chevy454 here for reasons: https://www.early-retirement.org/fo...-that-might-be-better-109817.html#post2630504).

Technical question #1

I'm considering doing withdrawals annually just to make things simpler for myself. Transactions have to happen on weekdays. Will the following work:

12/4/2023 (Monday)
12/4/2024 (Wednesday)
12/4/2025 (Thursday)
12/4/2026 (Friday)
12/3/2027 (Friday)

Note the last one is on a Friday because 12/4 that year falls on a Saturday. Note also that AFAICT it is impossible to pick a calendar day that does not fall on a Saturday or Sunday at least once between December 1, 2023 and December 1, 2028.

Technical question #2

If a taxpayer turns 59 1/2 on 11/26/2028 - asking for a friend - does the above withdrawal series satisfy the SEPP requirements? In other words, may the taxpayer be excused from a withdrawal on or about 12/4/2028? From the IRS language it appears to me that it does, but I would appreciate a second set of eyes.
