Personally I think that this first article and this second article are better. Gives more of an over all picture not just focusing on foreign debt.

Of course, don't forget about the spending. It is the last pie chart you want titled,"All Federal Spending."

The posted graphs are all the highest level you can get. Total Federal Spending, Total Federal Revenue, and Total Federal Debt. There are only really a few solutions to the problem.

1) Raise taxes
2) Drastically revamp Social Security and Medicare.
3) Debt forgiveness (including US persons turning in bonds for free)
