What Makes a Premium Marque Car Worth It?

I like the new styling of the new Jaguar's, if you where on the market for one which model will you consider?

Heh, heh, Highly unlikely (unless hit the lottery big time) to buy new.

But my current vote is for the XF S AWD with 380 HP, 339+ ft/lb torque, supercharged power plant.

Unfortunately I am addicted to the J shifter in my 95, as it was in my 88 as well. This thing has knob that rises out of the center console when powered up, and use it like a radio dial knob. Cheesy, tacky IMHO. If it came with steering wheel paddle shifters, it might be palatable. Since I live in very mountainous area I prefer to manually shift the auto tranny. They are not predictive of upcoming up/down hills.
