Has the work on Stella Rose started yet?
Ford 120hp Lehman uses about 1.5 gal an hour, I think. I got West Marine gift certificates for graduation, LOL! Not too much work...yet. We're still in the honeymoon stage.

The posts by Gardener and Cattusbabe struck a chord. A friend of mine is FIREd (modest tech IPO payoff) and his wife is still working as a veyr very senior nurse in a big hospital. She has numerous health issues of her own, including bad hips and knees, not helped by a bottle of wine (+) every night and 50 or more excess pounds. But she doesn't do a lot of bending over beds any more - she went down the academic qualifications route which the OP is considering and has been able to work regular office hours and sit at a desk for the past 15 years.

My partner is starting to get excited about going back to school. This is a good thing, I think. She is ripe for a new challenge.
We are spending the weekend in a timeshare condo in Red River, NM. Perfect relaxing weekend, must do this more often. It's just a reminder how much better we can live if we just do it. The dog kennel is one of our biggest expenses (3 big dogs.) After we ESR, and after my babies pass to puppy heaven, I expect to go a few years w/o pets to make travel easier. I hate leaving them for more than 3 or 4 days, and it is so expensive.

Ah yes, Gardner, there are many of us here on the board that bemoan our animals when we want to go somewhere, but love them the rest of the time. I have 5 dogs and 7 cats right now, which I think is might be the E-R.org board record. sigh... And none of them fosters, so that isn't even a valid excuse.
