I'm matjung, from Northern Europe.
In Germany I graduated at University where I studied Management, Economics, Investments and so on.
In Ireland, I gained work experience in Fixed Income.
I'm still a bond holder of high yield, high risk Greek Government Bonds.
I spent the last 15 years in Switzerland.
Continuing to work in Banks with IT.

I'm here to exchange information about early retirement strategies.
One thing is sure.
Switzerland is too expensive for an Early Retirement Location.
So, I need to find another home for settling in.

Well, I'm born in Germany. There are certain disadvantages of living in that country. Like 25% tax on interest, dividends and capital gains. The risk of getting a wealth tax.

Expensive health insurance.
And even if you wanted to rent or buy a flat. There is a queue of other people interested in the same property.
Before Corona, I thought about going to Malta. Then I spoke with Banks in Malts and Real Estate Agents. Then the country is a kind of small and isolated.

I took that country of my list. I also stroked through Spain.
After Omicron, I may have a look into Cyprus/Greece where it is also warmer than in Germany.
