It is hard to tell if Lily would even qualify for a LC or Prosper loan.

Lily, your best route is to begin investing with what little you have and at 5% a month return it should double every 15 months.

Perhaps you have relatives, acquaintances or co-workers who will float you and your husband a loan or co-investment.

Put your kids to work. Make them get jobs and take some of the money to pay the bills and free up some cash for you to save and invest. I know that's far from ideal, but if they're part of the household and finances are that tight, they should contribute as soon as they're able.

This Forex System sounds too slow for me, even if it is a sure thing.

I'll stick with a higher return system like Three Card Monte, with a modest crew, or on slow days just DW and I working inside/outside.

Hey Lily, don't waste your time with the Forex System, when you could invest in my perpetual motion machine invention. I'm looking for investors to get it up and running ... can't lose! Let me know if you're interested.

On the 12th day of Christmas my true love gave to me....The use of Forex robots and software.

"The use of Forex robots and software has helped traders and brokers forecast trends in the Forex market. The Forex robots have been created based on past market behaviors. This information was then converted from real life trades to computerized processes that are capable of thinking for themselves."

Unless Lily Byron is a scammer, I actually feel sorry for her for her financial naivety, and she sounds like someone who is hoping for magic, having long been on hard time. Her scheme is so unrealistic that it is doomed to failure and disappointment. I would be concern and feel badly if she blows her limited resources on a such a scheme, but of course, I cannot tell her not to prove us doubters wrong, but please do not bet your last dime on it.

How'd I miss this? Ah yes, the "can't miss" system that we don't have money to invest in.

Hey y'all I've got this treasure map from my great great great granddaddy who got it from Blackbeard himself. If I just had the money for a boat to go looking for it....who is in for a share?

She's not going to blow her limited resources. She wants to use yours.

Personally I think Sarah's is a safer investment.

I had to look it up, too. It is a form of investing with various strategies to use. This link explains a few: Forex Investing Strategies You Can Use

However, there are scams to watch out for: Forex Scams - Popular Forex Scams

And, from Wikipedia, "foreign exchange is a zero sum game": Foreign exchange fraud - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

(Personally, I'll stick with a diversified portfolio of index mutual funds of US & Int'l Stocks, bonds and REITs).

Did a little Google searching. There are quite a lot of people predicting wonderful success trading Forex, but none I can find who are saying they have successfully done it and are now wealthy. Many say they can do 5% or better:

Managed Accounts with 75% returns monthly... THIS IS NO HYPE Hello. My Name is Michael, i live in Lagos and what i do is quite Simple. I manage Forex Accounts. Yes it's true, there are a lot of blah blah blah's about forex, but what if for once someone is real? 75% is no Joke and i have proof of that. I make that amount for other peeps so why not you? If u have been scammed before give me one more chance. I AM ASKING YOU TO ASK FOR PROOF. It's either i send u the proof or u open a demo acct, send me the details and sit back, relax and monitor my performance for two weeks or better still arrange a meeting with me WHERE I CAN SHOW U THE PROOF FROM MY VERY OWN LAPTOP. I can go on and on....

I am thinking of selling my Beaver cheese futures to get in on this great opportunity.

Seriously why would I give my money to invest to someone who can't scrape up 10K?

Why would the US government (which, as I understand it, has a bit of a deficit) grant money to inexperienced private investors who want to make a killing on Forex? Hey, if this works, maybe the Feds should try it themselves.

Pay off the deficit? Then the national debt? Then fix Social Security? Then fund all the pension shortfalls? Sounds like you're on to something...
