At 50, you have to make some adjustments to your thinking on what age group are you most comfortable with.* My second wife was 6 years older than me and we did fine.* When looking on internet dating sites I would search within a 10 year window on either side but soon found that most 40 year old women are not yet comfortable with a 50 year old bald guy with a hairy back and bulging belly.* *However, starting at about age 45 they seem to be more comfortable with these things.* The 50-60 group are very willing to accept more "flaws" and are either willing to take any guy that has a job, has a house, does not live with his mother, and is not gay.* The over 60 women like younger men because they may live longer and need less taking care of but I neve could see myself dating a 60 year old woman.* I did find my match eventually and she is younger.* Two days younger.* * But we have a lot in common having grown up in the same timeframe.

Sorry to steal the thread..it is all Unclemick's fault.* 8)

Anyway, sorry to see you go Malakito.* Sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do.
My first marriage ended when I was 53. After a brief hiatus I started
dating like there was no tomorrow. I recall one woman was about 38
and we kept up a lively correspondence for years (platonic). I suggested
once we might take it to the next level. She said "You couldn't keep
up with me!" I was shocked. She was right.

A much shorter story would be taking the images and a blank CD down to Kinko's and scanning them in on their machines. And if Kinko's isn't the "deal of the century" either, there's probably several other stores in the same business with cheaper rates.

Hey, never thought of that. Anyway, in order to keep my post count up, here is the long version

We do own a cheapy digital camera which I have confessed before I don't
use much. Have owned a couple of used scanners which didn't seem to work
so I sold them in garage sales (stay with me here and remember I am
technologically challenged)......................

So, the other day I visited or called every store in the area (and some out)
to get info/prices on scanners. I found one (managers close out) at CompUSA
for (drum roll)............................................. ..................... $29 after rebate. DPI resolution looked good and at that price
how could I miss? Guess what? Although the deal was good until 9-30-05,
they didn't have any. I said "call your other stores". They couldn't find one
but said "You can order it on line." So, I go home and (A) I can't find a store
that has one, and (B) the small print says they won't ship it. I have to pick it up at the store. Long story short.........I called the manager of the closest
store and he found 72 units nationwide. However, most were demos, meaning (according to him) they may not have all the parts and cords etc.
If he locates a complete unit, he will call me (this week) and have it shipped
to him where I can then pick it up. Whew! So, what do y'all think?
Bait and switch?

BTW, this is not a tease. Once I get set up to post photos (if it's easy)
you may be sorry the gauntlet was thrown down. OTOH, some of C-Ts
stuff is real nice. Hope I can keep to to the standards he has set for me

OR, you may want to get your eye's checked.
Until a couple of years ago, I had 20/20.
When I was 40, most women in their 20's looked great to me. Now that I'm 57+, I have only added women in their early 30's to my visual appreciation. Because my eyes are still excellent and to some degree a curse, they can't seem to deceive me. Of course, the same is probably true for ladies, with excellent eyesight, who see me as an old "Kojak" fart. I guess it evens out in the end.

Yeah I never could figure that one out. I think his wife is hot
(remember I'm old) . She has looks, a job, she's smart...........
What is going on here? He must have something that is not
obvious to the casual observer.

I used to have a lot of "POWER" (not so much now). I don't recall
women falling all over me at the time. OTOH, I was married at the time

No disrespect intended John, but I believe we may be taking about a different level of power here.*

Re: Bye

I am 52 and will be married for 33 years in Oct. I could never ever imagine dating again. I am famous for saying once is more than enough! I love DH, but if I were to outlive him, chances are extremely high that I will be single the rest of my life! I know that you can never say never, but I feel very strongly that I would stay single.
