Closing is june 26th..
Sold the NJ house, closing is Monday afternoon. I might be able to ESCAPE NEW JERSEY!
Anyway I drove the wife and the car to her sisters in NC and she is not gonna be here for the movers on Friday.
I will be putting my early retirement papers in on Tuesday June 27TH when I have sobered up after getting all liquored up after my closing!
December 22nd will be my last day of work.

Looks like we will be buying a custom builders spec house in Fuquay Varina. Some final walkthru issues thisweek and as long as my closing happens monday we will be good to go.

Funny how I said I am going to work from Labor day to Xmas break. I drove down from NJ to Raleigh Sunday and back on Monday and as I was driving on I495 around DC I said this will get OLD fast. 4 months I will probably FLY home every 3 weeks for the 16 weeks I will work until Jan 1.
Prices of homes in the raleigh area are still a real good buy. The finish work and materials used are much better than used up here in nj. Heck the fiber cement board on the house will last 50+ years the CRAP Plastic Siding on my NJ house faded within 2 years and blew off in a windstorm!!l

Hey the movers are here and the people who have bought the house have had mail already sent here. We close on Monday!
Now if the rain holds for the next two hours so These MOVERS get out of here before they efup the carpets !
Man I am gonna have to do some cleaning!

Hire the Merry Maids or other such group to do the work. They do a good job and bring their own stuff. I am pretty sure you could get the whole place cleaned for under $150.

Newguy,
I'm jealous, I've been trying for the last 2 months to sell my house with no luck at all. I can't wait to get out of NY and off to Fla. We've lowered the house 60K so far and not even any lookers. I guess it's just a bad time and maybe we'll get lucky. Homes under 500K are selling but go over that # and they just sit.

Hot darn, the place is empty, but for a computer some food and a small TV. I cleaned and man these people who have bought this place will be real happy.
They will have a 370 K mortgagel and I will have a 40K mortgage
