Good bye High Tech world
Software Engineer Age 57
8M in equity index funds generating 150k of dividends. 55% in 401k / 45% in brokerage accounts
400k Cash
900k house without any mortgage
Fat Social Security check is waiting for me at 67.
Retiring June 30th. A bit younger spouse will continue her 300k+ a year job.
I looked at latest Jira sprints and I am ready.

And your mention of "Jira sprints" just jerked me back into my pre-retirement nightmare. Good riddance to that stuff!

Congratulations! Sounds like you will have a very fun retirement! I can't wait to say goodbye to grooming the work backlog, and hello to grooming my personal backlog!
