Greetings!

Hi all,

I am quitting my job in early January after working for 35 years. My husband will be joining me in early retirement in about a year. We are in our early 50s. I have an accounting background and have done extensive research and believe we are ready financially. Even so, it's hard to take such a big step. Reading the messages on this website has been very helpful and reinforced my decision to bag the office routine. I am very involved in helping my local animal shelter and look forward to doing more volunteer work in the future.

Hope you all had a nice Thankgiving!

Welcome. If you feel like running some of your ER scenarios by the ER forum folks for some perspectives, please feel free. It often helps to get third party unbiased ideas, analyses, viewpoints, experiences, or just plain opinions on your own plans. A way to reinforce your thoughts or point out things you never considered.
