Greetings from Texas

What a great resource I discovered in this forum. Hola!!

I already took the plunge and "retired" in December 2009. I am currently 51 yo and am pretty secure financially. My main issue right now is health care related as my Cobra coverage will expire in June 2011. Over in the appropriate forum, I will be researching and asking questions about health care coverage options for various locations.

In the meantime, greetings to all and I look forward to learning and contributing here.

Welcome. 51 -- I'm jealous.

Regarding the cartoon -- I remember watching that one too. I had a crush on JQ.

Howdy. I'm just up Hwy. 59 from Houston, in Lufkin. Welcome to the forum. Not retired, yet, and I'm 53. In about 1 yr & 10 months I'll throw away the alarm clock...

Welcome to the Forum JohnnyQuest!

When the Cobra runs out, I understand that with the "HIPAA" laws, you can be guaranteed at least some coverage, but you must apply within 60 ? days.

Welcome from a fellow Texan. I left Houston last year, but my husband is there for a few more months, until his job is shipped overseas.
