Just wanted to introduce myself since I just joined.
37 years old, married, wife is 35.
My goal is to retire by the time I am 50 at the latest, allowing us the freedom to travel extensively.
Currently have about 1.2mm in investments in a fairly diversified portfolio, probably not perfect but about 75%/25% stock/bond split. (I am fairly conservative with money, so I should probably be a bit more aggressive given our age)
We have talked about taking up residence overseas, possibly Europe, but there is plenty of time for that discussion later.
We are pretty big savers right now, but not at the expense of enjoying what we have now. Thankfully we both have been pretty successful career wise allowing us to do both.
Looking forward to learning a lot from these forums.
