Hi

I am about to pull the trigger on retirement at 55. July 1 is my target date. I am looking forward to doing most anything that does NOT involve a pay check. I have been on someone else’s schedule ever since I started kindergarten. I am going to be on my schedule for a while. Besides I am looking forward to telling someone: “If you double my pay, I couldn’t go any faster!”.

ag4gt,

My sentiments exactly mostly! The money is like a drug or mirage that keeps many from retiring. I've been ER'd since January but I confess to working about a dozen days since then, mostly at DW's prodding and customer's begging.

Congrats and "Don't look back."
