Hi, 52 from Central Wisconsin

Hi all,
52 years old working in a high stress I.T. job in central Wisconsin that I commute to via 61 miles one-way. I hate the grind and the do more with less attitude of my current employer. I am getting fatter with less time to do the outdoor activities I like to do, fishing, hunting, etc. I've got a lot of different investments, but I don't have a clue as to whether I'm going "good, bad or OK" with regards to being able to retire. Ideally, I'd love to retire now, but I don't know if I can or what it would take to get to where I need to be. I'll post in one of the other forums with more on this.

Welcome to the forum Jay.

My DH was in a high stress IT job and commuted a fair number of miles as well. He was able to retire in 2009 and is one happy camper.

Try running your numbers through FireCalc and see where you stand.
There's no need to complicate, our time is short..

Hi JayNak, welcome. I recently spent a year living in Janesville, WI. Although I'm a southern boy all my life, I honestly admit I really enjoyed my year in your state. You're in good company here.
