Describes almost my situation in 2015. Turned 61 on January 1. Took severance package (1 year) that miraculously developed in perfect timing on MLK day. Was planning to retire 01/01/2016 anyway. Fast forward 2020....best thing that ever happened. Took pension annuity that coupled w/ SS and my wife's teacher's retirement is enough to live on. Savings remain mostly untouched. Best of luck to you and welcome aboard!!

thanks all,
My wife and I are both retired Air Force (me E-7, her O-3E), she still works 3 days a week as a RN. Starting to de-clutter the garage

Welcome here.
Once de-cluttered, a classic car would look good in there!!
Best to you,
VW
