Hey John, I saw your and thought you must play in an orchestra... I don't know too many other musicians that can actually plan for early retirement, or hate their work so much that they want to... Or I could be way off base.
Music can be a passion - My grandmother played a violin in a orchrestra - and continued playing until 89 yo - she was a smoker and her being short of breath made her leave this "job" - kicking and screaming.
But....I doubt that there was much money involved = maybe the : P . From the OP?
