I am (not) Retired

I have been planning and waiting along time to say that!!!!!!!

Wow - I have been on this forum for sometime now and gotten great advise and @ 52 my wife and I are ready to move on. I gave my notice yesterday and will be PT until they find a replacement.

We have such a long list of things that we want to do it is hard to image where we will start!

We were pretty nervous doing this - its a big change even if you have the $.

I did read a new book over the weekend that helped - "You can retire sooner then you think". It validated all the things that I had done as well as the numbers making me feel good.

I'm still shaking with excitement.

Congrats! And the book you referenced is really good.

I've read many books on retirement and I think this one will become a favorite.

You posted this 6 hours ago and haven't posted since, In-control. That is a good sign, as it means you are not wasting away the first days of your retirement on the internet, like some of us reprobates

Congratulations, and welcome to the rest of your life!
