Just starting to think about ER...
Hi,
Been on the site for a while but never introduced myself so I figured it was about time...

I am 48, single (but live with my SO) and currently live just outside of Boston and work in Boston. Financially we am doing OK. I have a house worth about $650k and owe about $290k. No other debts. On the savings side I have about $800k in IRA/401k and about $700k in non-retirement investments.

We are planning on leaving the Boston area when we do retire, definitely downsizing and probably moving somewhere warmer. Even debating the idea of moving overseas for a while after becoming FI.

I am looking forward to the point when I can take a bit more control of my life and time.
