New Kid on the block

Hello I just retired at age 55 and I would like to find out what works and what doesn't in regards to 401k investing. I am open to ideas.

That depends on 401K. Is it still at the employer? Can or will you roll it to a brokerage house (Fidelity, Schwab, Vanguard etc...) as an IRA? Do you need funds from it now or how far down the road? Are you retired or is this an orphan 401K? We have a lot of knowledge but need more info from you on what you have, what you want and what you need.

Welcome aboard and please tell us more about your situation and your name.

welcome to the board.

if it's a federal TSP 401(k), i can help out there. otherwise, all i can offer is a dumb look and defer to the experts.
