Spouse SS options?

I am 62 and my wife is 55. She has no decent work record as most of her earnings were self employed. I plan to claim my SS at retirement age 66. Ive read she could get 50% of my SS check when she reaches full retirement age. would she qualify for 50% of my entitlement even with no work record?

Yes, she would qualify for 50% of your SS.

Just a small condition:

She, at her FRA, would be able to collect 50% of your FRA benefit, not the amount you would be collecting at that time.
