I'm 55, my wife is 53, and we've been retired for a little over 5 years.
We live, at the moment, on the north central Gulf coast of Florida, which is our second location after retiring - our first home was on the southwest Gulf coast of Florida. Yes, there is a trend here - we're getting a bit weary of the hurricanes, heat, and the aggravations associated with rampant real estate growth.
I hope to get some relocation ideas (with and without keeping our house in FL) from this site, along with whatever good ideas I happen across. Our problem is not, therefore, whether or not we can make this work financially; rather, it is the "now what?" issue.
