A cool Hope Chest find

DW having just retired has been cleaning her STUFF out. The ~ 100 yr old Ed Roos Co.. solid cedar chest, no laminate, has been in bedroom with all kinds of play cloths/dresses the kids would dress up in. Kids grow don't care anymore, gave all to the littlest niece. I hadn't looked in this thing forever, with all the clothes removed there was newspaper on bottom, lifted up paper and there was bunch of cedar chips, Ok, helped with cedar scent.... Then I looked at the newspaper, there are lots pages, both the Baltimore Sun and Washington Herald, Dated December 1923, in quite good shape....

an example of an article in sports section of Sun.
Middy Schedule for Five Sports.
Navy Boxing, Wrestling, Swimming and Fencing cards are announced.....
Boxing Mass. Tech, Boston U, Colgate, Penn State and Yale...

Pretty cool !!! Christ i just looked at other side, Its the STOCK PAGE !!!!

NYSE - Dec14
Total sales of stocks 1,284,000 same day last year 926,500
Total sale of bonds $9,517,000 same day last year $13,563,000
bonds sale year to date $2,572,951,000, last year was 3 billion +
Why was there no $ for stocks?

Calvert Marine Museum is next door, going to take to them see if they want them for display....
