A long, long time ago...

before I was interested in such things, I remember hearing about some "Old Ladies' Investment Club" somewhere in the mid-west. That's not what they called themselves of course, but that was the gist of it. Bunch of "blue hairs" sitting around managing portfolios, and supposedly doing well at it. Anybody remember who they were or where they were? Anybody know if they are still doing it? Might have been the '70's or '80's?

Kinda a sad story. or at least not as good as one would have hoped.

Well, they couldn't have very well had a best seller with the title 'Start Your Own Investment Club and Do WORSE than an Index Fund! For Fun, and Not So Much Profit!'
